UK Power Networks Services has officially achieved Mission Zero, WRRR Gold (equivalent to FORS Gold), and Sustainability 1 & 2 accreditations, following a successful LCV Audit, recognising their leadership in safe, sustainable fleet operations.
With a fleet of 138 vans, this milestone highlights their ongoing commitment to responsible transport practices and continuous improvement across their operations.
As the commercial arm of UK Power Networks, UK Power Networks Services delivers complex, end-to-end energy solutions across the UK. From electric vehicle charging infrastructure to major power projects, they support critical industries including aviation, rail, defence, and more.
Recognising the need for an accreditation that reflected their van-only fleet, UK Power Networks Services made the strategic decision to transition to Mission Zero.
Reflecting on the transition to Mission Zero, Lisa Sandle, Quality and Compliance Advisor at UK Power Networks Services, shared:
“We’ve held FORS accreditation for many years, but as our fleet is made up entirely of vans, we found the framework increasingly geared towards HGV operators, which didn’t quite reflect how we operate day to day”
Lisa Sandle continued: “Mission Zero gave us the opportunity to align our compliance more closely with the way we actually operate. The process was clear, straightforward, and the audit itself was seamless. The auditor came well-prepared, understood our business, and the whole experience felt collaborative from start to finish.”
“I particularly value the ability to upload evidence throughout the year. It means I can stay on top of updates as they happen, rather than scrambling during audit season which, when you manage multiple certifications, is a huge relief.”
She added “Mission Zero has been supportive, flexible, and genuinely built around real business needs. For anyone exploring their options, I’d highly recommend having a conversation with the team.”
This milestone is a testament to UK Power Networks Services’ commitment to setting new standards in fleet safety, sustainability, and operational excellence -reinforcing their dedication to driving meaningful progress across both the transport and energy industries.
