MISSION ZERO & TRANSPORT FOR LONDON

Mission Zero and the Work-Related Road Risk Modules is the first fleet quality standard to be officially accredited by Transport for London as equivalent to FORS Bronze, FORS Silver and FORS Gold*, therefore compliant with TfL’s Work-Related Road Risk (WRRR) requirements.

Fleet operators can use Mission Zero to demonstrate contractual compliance where FORS Bronze, FORS Silver or FORS Gold is specified, either on existing Work-Related Road Risk contracts, or when tendering for them.

*Mission Zero and FORS are entirely independent accreditation schemes and being accredited for one does not entitle an operator to be automatically accredited for the other. Separate applications and fees apply for each accreditation scheme.

Work Related Road Risk (WRRR) is a freight safety initiative aligned with the London Mayor’s Vision Zero approach to road danger reduction. No death or serious injury on our roads is acceptable or inevitable. Freight safety is a pressing issue. Trucks and vans are more likely to be involved in fatal or serious injury incidents with pedestrians and cyclists than other vehicles.

By complying with WRRR, you will:

  • save lives and protect communities by reducing the risk of collisions
  • reduce vehicle downtime and delays to deliveries
  • reduce costs by saving money spent on insurance claims and premiums, and vehicle repairs
  • reduce reputational risk – eg association with a supplier involved in a serious or fatal collision
  • demonstrate that your organisation is fulfilling its public duty
